Fix or add a shift

Edit a saved shift

1. Open Log and find the shift. You can search descriptions, notes, app names, vehicles, and dates.
2. Open the shift’s details.
3. Choose Edit.
4. Change the apps, vehicle, stops, description, or note, then save.

Editing these details does not change the original GPS miles. The shift’s correction history shows the changed field, old and new values, time, and reason when present.

Correct GPS miles

Open the saved shift’s edit screen and use Correct miles. Enter the corrected miles and a reason. A reason is required for a GPS-mile correction.

Orphie marks the shift Miles corrected and keeps the original GPS miles in the record. The details show the GPS measurement alongside the correction. Each edit remains in the correction history.

You cannot change GPS miles on the End review screen. Save the shift first, then correct it in Log.

Add a shift by hand

Use the add-by-hand form in Log when you need to enter a record without a recorded route.

Enter the date and miles. You can turn on the times option to enter start and end times. The form also has start and end odometer readings, apps, vehicle, stops, description, and an optional note. Miles can be calculated from the two odometer readings instead of entered directly.

A manual entry permanently shows Added by hand. It has no route map. Adding it does not recreate GPS data.

Later mileage edits to a hand-added shift enter the correction history, but they do not require a GPS-correction reason or receive a GPS-mile-correction badge.

Enter miles and odometer readings

Miles accept a decimal point or decimal comma with one or two decimal digits. Do not mix the two separators. Odometer readings use whole miles and can be grouped in threes.

Delete a shift

Deletion permanently removes the saved shift. Export your records first if you need a copy. Orphie has no restore flow.

On iPhone, swipe the entry in Log to delete it. You can also use the Delete action in the shift’s details. On Android, open the shift’s detail menu and choose Delete. Confirm the deletion.

For an accidental open shift, tap End shift, then Save shift, before deleting it from Log. There is no Discard action on the driving or review screen.
