Pick apps before Start

In Drive, use Driving for to select the apps for your shift. You can select one, several, or none. Orphie remembers your last selection. A shift with no selected app is labeled Unassigned.

Settings › Apps controls which apps appear in this list. The default list includes Amazon Flex, DoorDash, Grubhub, Instacart, Lyft, Shipt, Uber, Walmart Spark, and Other. Other is off by default.

Use several apps on one shift

You do not need to start a new shift when you switch between gig apps. Orphie keeps logging the shift you started.

The app names are labels for the whole shift. Orphie does not connect to your gig accounts, detect a switch, record its time, or split miles between apps.

To change the labels on an open shift, tap the app and vehicle line in the driving screen and change the selected apps. This replaces the shift’s overall app list. It does not assign earlier or later miles to a particular app.

In Taxes, a shift with several apps counts in full under each selected app. Do not add the by-app totals together as if they were separate miles.

Add your own app

1. Open Settings › Apps.
2. Choose Add another app.
3. Enter a name. The name cannot be blank.
4. On iPhone, choose a category. The displayed options are Amazon Flex, DoorDash, Walmart Spark, Uber, and Other.
5. Save the app.

On Android, there is no category picker. Your custom app is saved in the Other category.

New custom apps are enabled and can appear in Driving for. First-run setup does not have an Add another app form. Add custom names in Settings after setup.

Turn off or remove an app

Default apps have on and off toggles. They cannot be deleted.

For a custom app, the removal action depends on whether a shift uses it:

• If a saved shift uses the app, Orphie hides it from the selectable lists and keeps the history.
• If no shift uses the app, Orphie deletes it.
